Community-launched · Est. 2026

Private business directories for school communities.

Any member of a school community — an alum, a parent, a reunion organizer, or the school itself — can launch a trusted-business directory for their community. We build it, operate it, monetize it, and donate a percentage of the revenue back to the school. Schools that choose to officially endorse the directory earn an even higher donation.

Two Paths to Launch

Community-launched. School-supporting.

A community member launches the directory in their school's community. SchoolBizHub builds and operates it. The school receives a monthly donation from the revenue we generate — and earns a higher donation tier if they choose to officially endorse and promote it. Either way, the school carries no cost, no operational work, and no liability.

Path 1 · Community-Launched
The Alumni & Family Directory
Branded for the community · Not officially affiliated with the school

An alum, parent, reunion organizer, or community leader launches the directory. We build and operate it using community-owned branding (e.g. "The [Mascot] Alumni Community Directory"). A percentage of revenue is donated to the school each month — no approval or paperwork required on their end.

Standard donation tier
Path 2 · School-Endorsed
Endorse the directory. Earn a higher donation.
The school optionally endorses the community directory and helps promote it through official channels — alumni newsletters, reunion emails, the PTA bulletin.
Elevated donation tier · No cost, no liability

How a directory gets launched

Three steps. Anyone in the community can start.

A Community Lead — an alum, parent, or school representative — reserves the handle and names the directory. We build, populate, and operate it. The school receives a monthly donation from revenue generated. No partnership paperwork required.

A Community Lead signs up.

Anyone in the community can initiate the directory: an alum, a parent, a class council member, a reunion organizer, a booster club president — or the school itself. They become the Community Lead, help us choose a community-owned name, and serve as the local point of contact.

We build, populate, and operate.

Our team stands up the directory in the community's colors, recruits alumni and parent-owned businesses, vets every listing, and opens the platform to members. Typically live within 30 days. The Community Lead helps rally the first wave of listings; we handle everything else.

The school receives a donation.

A percentage of recurring revenue is donated to the school each month — with transparent reporting and zero paperwork required of the institution. If the school chooses to officially endorse the directory and help promote it, they qualify for a higher donation tier.

Who Can Launch One

Anyone in the community. Including the school.

You don't need to be the head of school, the alumni director, or the board chair to launch a directory for your community. You just need to know the community and want to see it have one. If the school itself wants to launch it, even better — they qualify for the elevated donation tier from day one.

Alumni & Class Councils

Turn your alumni network into an active, donation-generating marketplace. Classes 2010 and 1995 finally have a reason to talk to each other — and the school benefits monthly.

  • Engaged alums & alumni board members
  • Reunion committees & class councils
  • Sports & activity alumni groups

Parents & PTA/PTO Leaders

Give parents a vetted directory of trusted local businesses — pediatricians, tutors, contractors, camps — all recommended by other families. The school benefits, the PTA can receive the donation, everyone wins.

  • PTA/PTO presidents & board members
  • Parent volunteers & room parents
  • Booster club leaders

The School Itself

If the school wants to officially endorse the directory, help promote it through newsletters and reunion emails, and direct the donation to the general fund or a specific cause — they qualify for the elevated donation tier from day one.

  • Head of School / Principal
  • Advancement / Development office
  • Alumni Relations director

Faculty, Students & Friends

A favorite teacher wanting to support their school. A current student organizing the senior class. A booster parent who saw it at another school and wants it here. If you care about the community, you can launch it.

  • Faculty & staff members
  • Current students & their parents
  • Community members & former parents
The Donation Model

Businesses pay us. We donate to the school.

SchoolBizHub monetizes the directory through tiered advertising subscriptions and premium placements. A percentage of that recurring revenue is donated to the school each month — with a higher donation tier reserved for schools that choose to officially endorse and help promote the directory.

The Separation of Risk

The school's name stays above the fray.

Because the directory is launched by a community member and operated by SchoolBizHub — not by the school — the school has no exposure to business transactions, member disputes, or operational liability. The school simply receives a monthly donation.

No approval required

A Community Lead launches the directory using community-owned branding (e.g. "The Alumni & Family Community Directory") — no permission, partnership agreement, or school-board vote needed. Schools that want to officially endorse and promote it are welcome to, and earn a higher donation tier in exchange.

Not a party to the transaction

Service agreements, payments, and refunds are strictly between the member and the business. Neither SchoolBizHub nor the school is a party to those transactions or responsible for how they turn out. The directory is a vetted referral platform, not a marketplace escrow.

We verify reviews, not disputes

When a negative review is posted, our team verifies it — confirming the reviewer had a real interaction with the business and giving the business a chance to respond. We do not mediate refunds or settle disagreements. We maintain directory integrity by surfacing honest feedback and removing businesses with verified patterns of complaints.

Clear public disclaimer

Every page carries a prominent "Operated by SchoolBizHub · Not officially affiliated with [School]" notice (unless the school has chosen to officially endorse), along with terms of service members accept at signup that set expectations for how business relationships work.

Launch a directory for your community.

You don't need to represent the school to start this. You just need to be part of the community. Tell us a little about your school, and we'll send a one-page summary showing exactly how it works, what the donation model looks like, and the elevated-tier option if you're able to bring the school on board later.

  • No approval needed to launch. A Community Lead can start a directory for their school under community-owned branding. The school is informed, invited to receive the donation, and welcome to officially endorse it for a higher tier.
  • Not a party to business transactions. Every service agreement and payment sits strictly between the member and the business. We verify reviews and protect directory integrity — we do not mediate refunds. The school stays fully out of any business grievance.
  • Community-owned branding. Directories launch under community-owned names (e.g. "The Alumni & Family Community Directory") with clear "Not officially affiliated" disclaimers — unless the school officially endorses, in which case the branding can reflect that.

Frequently Asked

Questions we hear a lot.

Does the school have to approve this before we can launch?
No. A directory can be launched by any member of the community — an alum, a parent, a reunion organizer — using community-owned branding (e.g. "The Alumni & Family Community Directory") with a clear "Not officially affiliated" disclaimer. The school is informed and invited to receive a monthly donation from revenue generated. Schools that want to officially endorse the directory and help promote it are welcome to, and earn an elevated donation tier in exchange.
Who actually operates the directory?
SchoolBizHub operates it. We own and run the advertising platform, vet every business listing, handle all billing, and monitor directory integrity. The Community Lead who signs up is the local point of contact — not the operator. The school is the donation recipient, not the operator.
What happens when a business doesn't deliver quality work?
The business transaction itself is strictly between the member and the business — SchoolBizHub is not a party to service agreements or payment disputes, and the school certainly isn't. What we do take responsibility for is the integrity of the directory: every negative review is verified by our team, both sides are heard, patterns are tracked, and businesses with verified repeat issues are removed. Neither the school nor the Community Lead is ever asked to weigh in on who was right in a disagreement.
How is the donation amount decided?
A percentage of recurring revenue generated by the directory is donated to the school every month — with a higher tier reserved for schools that officially endorse and help promote the directory through their alumni, parent, and community channels. We'll walk you through the exact percentages during the intro call; they scale with community size and the level of school involvement.
What if the school would rather the donation go somewhere specific?
We're happy to direct the donation wherever the school prefers — the general fund, the scholarship endowment, a specific athletic or academic program, the PTA, or a booster club. If the school declines to accept the donation directly, we can send it to a community-affiliated nonprofit or charitable foundation of their choosing.
How is this different from a Facebook group or LinkedIn network?
Those are feeds. A SchoolBizHub directory is a structured, searchable commerce platform — categorized, verified businesses with ratings, members-only deals, and a real advertising revenue engine. Facebook can't write your school a check; we can.
How do you keep bad businesses out of the directory?
Every business is vetted before approval — we verify the business exists, confirm the owner's community connection, and check for any obvious red flags. Once listed, businesses are held accountable through member reviews. Our moderation team verifies flagged reviews from both sides, tracks complaint patterns, and removes businesses that repeatedly fail to meet community expectations.
Why launch now, versus waiting?
Every school community has exactly one directory handle. Once a directory launches for your school, it's the one alumni and parent businesses will use — and the donation flow to the school begins immediately. Being early means your community gets the benefit, and founding Community Leads help shape how their directory is run.

Anyone can launch it. The school always benefits.

Community members build the spark. We build the platform. The school receives a monthly donation — with a higher tier reserved for schools that want to endorse and promote it. No paperwork. No risk. Just generosity that flows in one direction.
